Life Coaching is a profession that is profoundly different from consulting, mentoring, advice, therapy, or counseling. The coaching process addresses specific personal projects, business successes, general conditions and transitions in the client's personal life, relationships or profession by examining what is going on right now, discovering what your obstacles or challenges might be, and choosing a course of action to make your life be what you want it to be.

What is the Role of a Mental Health Coach?
Mental health coaches are unlike licensed mental health care providers in that coaches do not diagnose or offer professional care or treatment for mental health difficulties or disorders. Coaches support any positive change, helping persons in professional care to manage symptoms, build support for recovery, and work on life goals such as relationships, work, and education. Mental health coaching is action oriented with an emphasis on improving one's present life and reaching goals for the future.
Mental health coaches use a partnership model wherein the client is considered to be the expert on his or her life, the one who decides what is worth doing. While the coach provides expertise in supporting successful change. mental health coaching focuses on achieving any goals important to the client, not just recovery-related goals. Mental health coaching emphasizes honoring values and making principle based decisions, creating a clear plan of action, and using current strengths to reach future goals. The coach provides accountability to help the client stay on track.
The Coaching Format:
1. Complimentary Coaching Consultation2. 60 to 90 minute "Your Own Design" -first session3. One 30 to 90 minute phone call per week (session length depends on which program chosen)4. Unlimited Email support5. Occasional brief check-in calls

He is a Certified Pastoral Trained Counselor and a Board Certified Christian Mental Health and Life Coach (BCMHC) providing: Marriage, Family, Grief and Bereavement Support, Substance Abuse, Mental Behavioral Concerns, Spiritual and General Life Guidance. We coach in many different formats for your convenience. These include: In-Person, E-Mail, Telephone and we use Video Conferencing Services with: Zoom and Skype.
